My Story

I'm Nicole, Mum, entrepreneur and a Reiki Master. I always loved art and creating. I built my business back in 2002, when word of mouth and business cards were your only form of pulling in your dream client! I started while studying for my HSC and also working at McDonalds. I would leave school, do 2 clients out of a hairdresser that I rented a space, and then went on to my job at McDonalds.

When year 12 finished, I realized I didn't want to go to university! I LOVED my job! Studying wasn't for me and to be honest I earnt far more money than most of my school friends could earn after they finished their degree.

So, I set off and went full time. I slowly built up my trades with waxing, tanning...even onto becoming a Reiki Master. But boy did I make some bad decisions. Held back with limiting beliefs about being good enough, fear of expanding and failing. I stayed small for so long, I stayed safe! I went to a few salons, and I made the mistake of overlooking parking, and most definitely overlooking personality clashes. 

This was little known to be at the time to end up being some of the most invaluable lessons of my business.

When I fell pregnant with my first son, I wanted to give up nails. I was done, under charging, having no boundaries killed my love. I swore I'd never be back. However, after 5 years the time came...maternity leave was good but for my mental health, I needed to go back to work. Our family needed a change, and my husband went part time so that could set out on my newly found love for nails again. I had done some building in this time, not on my business or skills, but on myself. I did shadow work, I worked on my belief systems, and I also studied the s*** out of social media! This time, I chose a studio that was remarkable for its reputation, its employees and its parking (LOL) Within 3 months I was BOOKED! I closed my books, and I literally turned away clients every single day. Why? My skills hadn't changed, if anything, they weren't up to scratch. But my mindset, my presence and the experience I created were unforgettable. 

This led me to finally after 22 years in the industry, open my very own shop! Since then, my mindset and business have absolutely blown up. I even created and launched my very own BIAB brand. In doing this, I noticed something so important. I had so many nail techs reaching out about product knowledge, retention issues, business issues. I realized the most valuable thing, training was BASIC! These poor women had paid a fortune for their training, and they didn't know important basics. I was seeing all over socials and forums of allergies and ingredient misrepresentation, but in reality, it came down to training...or lack of it! So, before someone had a chance to misuse my product, I closed my BIAB business with the mindset, I'm going to help women! First things first, right?

So, here we are. Changing the world, one set of nails at a time. But my mission is to help women build. Build their business, their confidence and their authority in our industry. My mission is to build a village.
